TN Coopers: challenging tradition

Chile, cooperage, tradition and innovation are words not commonly associated with the wine, spirits and beer world.

Yet TN Coopers has been challenging the conservative tradition of oak products and offerings by using  state-of-the-art technology in a modern, sensory orientated environment in each step of their processes.

No compromise!

This Chilean-based family-owned company has a policy of not compromising on either the sourcing or the seasoning of raw materials, together with close analytical evaluation of the entire production belt in the cooperage plant. Through this TN Coopers has proved that it is able to offer a tailored solution to even the most demanding markets.

The TN Coopers global footprint

TN Coopers has its head quarters in Santiago, bordering the famous Casablanca Valley in Chile. Other warehouses and offices in charge of commercializing their products are located in Paarl in the South African winelands, as well as in Sonoma (California, US), in Tuscany near Florence (Italy) and in the heart of Mendoza’s wine region (Argentina).

Moving from wine to spirits

With a footprint of nearly two decades in the wine industry, the natural progression was to explore the world of distilled spirits as part of the company’s striving towards innovative oak products and offerings. The first steps in this direction were taken in the Rum distilling industry in Central America and has since expanded to almost every continent throughout the world.

Oak for every distiller’s need

The TN Coopers range offers a wide range of variants which will fulfil the needs of any distiller: from vats to oak chips, all in various toasting levels. Each of these products has the purpose to combine, lengthen, strengthen or support the product.

So much more than barrels

True to form and prestige the iconic product for the aging of spirits is the oak barrel – not only contributing flavours and colour, but also because the barrels are not sealed. The oxygen is therefore enabled to interact and soften the alcohol over time.

The requirements of the company’s clients vary widely, thus there is a need to offer solutions which answer to the product, the intention of the distiller and of course, the available budget. This is the reason why TN Coopers offers a wide variety of solutions, ranging from staves, blocks, chips and or innovative barrel renewal system, ZigZag.
