Kaapse Limoncello, the first local liqueur passionately perfected by Carol Mills, is the flagship liqueur of the Kaapse Liqueurs fleet. A 100% natural South African product, this fragrant lemon liqueur is made exclusively with fresh, healthy lemon zest oils and has a clear, lively colour. Served chilled, it is tantalisingly refreshing.
Kaapse Limoncello can simply be described as a taste of Italy from Cape Town. This lemon liqueur is carefully made over a period of no less than 40 days with our locally produced export quality lemons and triple distilled premium spirit.
Fresh lemon zest is steeped in distilled alcohol until all the oil is released to produce a smooth, palatable taste. Our unique approach distinguishes our Limoncello from others. We only use the zest as we feel the best flavour comes solely from the lemon zest and there are numerous health connotations associated with it.
Kaapse Limoncello is served ice cold as a lemon liqueur shot - after dinner as a "digestiv" (facilitating digestion), or on the rocks, as an appetiser/aperitif, with soda, as a Dom Pedro, over ice cream or however else you could envisage. Furthermore, it is used in NUMEROUS recipes.
